I don’t think I’ve ever shared a reading list on this blog. It’s possible I have, since this blog is 10 years old. But if I did, I’m sure it was years ago. Too many posts to remember!
So let’s talk about books. Plus, what could be better than staying in bed on bitter cold days, snuggling up with a good book? Well… I’m sure there are better things… but that’s definitely a very pleasurable thing to do!
I’m the kind of person that likes reading several books at once. Certain books are good for certain times of day, some books are great for certain seasons, some for particular projects, etc, etc… I always have wacky ideas stirring and wild curiosities brewing, so I like dipping into lots of books. They’re like nerdy friends or research buddies! We have fun together.
I’ll share with you what I have in rotation at the moment, as well as what’s on the current reading agenda (books lined up for this season, and books that will soon arrive for me at my local library.)
At the moment my list seems to be mostly about nature, plant life and plant medicine. B-o-r-i-n-g. So sorry, if you aren’t into that sort of thing! I’m presently working on some creative projects that involve plants, so I’m super-into the topic at the moment. I promise that I’m interested in all types of subjects. For the most part though… I tend to lean towards non-fiction, philosophy, self-help and spirituality. Plus nerdy reference books, veggie recipe books, how-to manuals, foraging field guides, etc.. I rarely read fiction. (Same goes for movies. I don’t watch them often, but when I do I tend to favor documentaries.)
If you have books you want to share with me, please email me or leave a comment. I’m always interested in interesting books! I’d love to hear/read what you have to share. And don’t be afraid to recommend books that don’t fit my usual reading patterns! If you have a super-fab fiction title, or some other type of book that seems way-off from what I have mentioned — so what! Recommend it. Really. I’d be curious to see what you have to offer. I’m appreciative of any and all book titles sent my way.
Also… one last note. For some of the authors, I’m reading several of their works, but I’ll only list one book per author.
