David Icke is Not New

Over the last six months I have had various people ask me about David Icke. They want to know if I have heard of him before and what I think of him. I personally really like what he stands for, although his message is nothing new. His main message is: life as we know it is an illusion. This I already learned from studying Vedanta (more specifically Advaita Vedanta) thirteen years ago. There are also other authors and lecturers that had a similar message to Icke (or is it the other way around?) over 60+ years ago. Great minds like Aldous Huxley and Eric Fromm, as well as many others have made the same points. (Interesting though that Aldous Huxley and Eric Fromm studied Vedanta as well.)

The three main points I’ve seen David Icke present are:
1) Wake up to your illusion. You are not the body. Your life is a superimposition.
2) Acknowledge that we are living in a Orwellian state. And it is your responsibility to take your power back and be responsible for creating your life.
3) Realize that you are unlimited consciousness. Begin to choose freedom for yourself. In order to do this you must come from a place of oneness and love.

I can truly say that I am thankful for David Icke. He brings a clear message to many people. (The reptilian part of his message can get a bit blurry, but I’ll stick to the overall message. I encourage people to not focus on what sounds too out-there (bizarre), verses taking responsibility for the other 90+ percent of what he says.) David Icke’s overall message is timeless (because it has been.) Today is no different from 60 years ago or 600 years ago in many respects. People are suffering now and they were suffering then, all unnecessarily.

In this blog post I will list a few quotes from David Icke, Aldous Huxley and Eric Fromm.

So again, I am grateful for David Icke and his work. I’m glad that he and we as a people continue to share this information. It can instantly end a lot of hurt, fear and unanswered questions. We truly are powerful, we truly are infinite, we truly are loved — but the daily experience of that is completely up to us.

Aldous Huxley

“All gods are homemade, and it is we who pull their strings, and so, give them the power to pull ours.”

“Great is truth, but still greater, from a practical point of view, is silence about truth. By simply not mentioning certain subjects… totalitarian propagandists have influenced opinion much more effectively than they could have by the most eloquent denunciations.”

“There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that’s your own self.”

“Like every other good thing in this world, leisure and culture have to be paid for. Fortunately, however, it is not the leisured and the cultured who have to pay.”

“Science has explained nothing; the more we know the more fantastic the world becomes and the profounder the surrounding darkness.”

Erich Fromm

“In the nineteenth century the problem was that God is dead. In the twentieth century the problem is that man is dead.”

“Love is the only sane and satisfactory answer to the problem of human existence.”

“The danger of the past was that men became slaves. The danger of the future is that man may become robots.”

“There is no meaning to life except the meaning man gives his life by the unfolding of his powers.”

“Most people die before they are fully born. Creativeness means to be born before one dies.”

David Icke

“You don’t comb the mirror, you comb your own hair and the mirror changes.”

“I believe that the human race has developed a form of collective schizophrenia in which we are not only the slaves to this imposed thought behavior, but we are also the police force of it.”

“Infinite love is the only truth. Everything else is illusion.”

“The reason most people don’t express their individuality and actually deny it, is not fear of what prime ministers think of us or the head of the federal reserve, It’s what their families and their friends down at the bar are going to think of them.”

“The Earth needs rebels!”

Vedanta

“Truth is the thing which is unchanging. Since the world is changing, it is not real (true).” – Adi Shankara

“Consciousness is rooted in the Absolute. The brain is rooted in the elements. The ‘mind’ is rooted in wrong programming and faulty conditioning and lies and concepts and ideas and superstitions and falsehoods.” – Floyd Henderson

“When you go beyond awareness, there is a state of non-duality, in which there is no cognition, only pure being. In the state of non-duality, all separation ceases.” – Nisargadatta Maharaj

“Just as one sees dreams in sleep, he sees a kind of super-dream when he is waking. The world is compared to this conscious dream.” – Adi Shankara

“Who you are, in truth, who everyone is, is whole and perfect and beautiful. And if that can be recognized, then it is possible that self-torture can stop!” – Gangaji

great post. just what i needed to see to start my week.

  2. Hi Aimee! Long time no talk.

How is the big picture going for you, with your life as art/commerce? Fascinated by your concept and wondering if you have any updates?

This post is PACKED with info, it’s going to take me a couple evenings to peruse… ;)

Now you have me extremely curious about vedanta, something I know little about…

I am back after about a year of not taking my health and self-love seriously. My fatkidsuit blog is live again and i’ve added a daily “What I ate today” log and will be writing about a new approach I am enjoying…mostly raw…and a steadfast determination to get away from industrial food.

Always love your stuff, the “sunday” posts.

    Cheers,
    Ken

    • I’m so glad you are back! :D) Yay!

Yes, health and self-love should be taken seriously. Without it, what do we have? Good for you for having the awareness to see that you have veered off & for having the wisdom to get back on track. – Bravo! :) You should feel proud.

Things are going well with my life/career shift. Everything is moving right along. My only obstacle these days is getting my own self out of the way! – “Small self, move over! Get in the passenger seat, Unlimited Self is going to do the driving.” :D) – I wrote a blog post about all the changes & what is happening. You can see it at: https://sundayisforlovers.wordpress.com/2010/12/19/aimee-loves-you-creates-a-new-way-of-being/

Lots of love to you Ken!
Keep me posted on how the journey unfolds.

      Love,
      A.
