HOT, Raw & RICH!

I am creating a 100 day challenge for myself. I want to devote time and space daily to 5 areas of my life where I would like to see progress. I’ve named the challenge “Hot, Raw & Rich!” because I was inspired by Therese De Wolf’s Raw, Hot & Rich Experiment. It’s quite interesting. She was doing AMAZING, then all of a sudden, she fizzled out. Mid challenge she was a powerhouse [video link] and really funny, then at about day  80 the energy went down. The downhill slide started with a foot injury [video link], then she started falling prey to the media’s negativity about the financial crisis [video link], by the end she was back to eating (some) cooked food.

I would like to pick up where she left off. I think it was a brilliant idea and should live on.

My ”Hot, Raw & Rich!” 100 day challenge…

Work- Daily work on creative projects that are important to me. I will create two new (additional) blogs. One will be centered around health, the other will be centered around the creative process and being an artist.

Diet- Daily 100% raw vegan meals (mostly 80/10/10 style, lots of fruit and mono-meals) and drinking water as a priority. I find that my days are transformed when I drink 1 liter first thing in the morning, before any food. Then another 1-2 liters before the day is over.

Exercise- Daily vigorous movement, as much as 1-3 hours (in total). It sounds like a lot, but it’s not. In New York City people walk everywhere. A combo of yoga classes, trampoline jumping, dancing, trail running, and strength training will be sprinkled through out the week.

Spirit- Daily moments of allowing and flowing. Letting go of extra stuff in my life (this includes, dis-empowering vocabulary and unproductive habits). Creating more with less, feeling more with less. Taking time for beauty acknowledgement, experiencing subtleties and  listening to silence. Trusting the universe and it’s perfect process. Getting out of my own way (and the universes way) so that magic can happen.

Education- I have so many books I am dying to read right now. I have a box of books that I am currently reading (it sits right next to my bed) and I have another box of books arriving shortly in the mail. Most of the books are health related or discuss the creative process.

I will keep you posted on what I am reading, eating and doing via Twitter, I will also post a SIFL blog entry every so often about the 100 day challenge.

I just want to say a few words about the word rich. I’m not sure how Therese meant it in her original challenge, but I’m clear about my definition for this challenge. I am looking to BE rich. To embody it. (I think Therese de Wolf wanted the same.) The definitions that describe the rich I’m referring to are; Yielding large returns; productive or fertile; fruitfulhighly valued; preciousabounding in agreeable or nutritive qualities; sweet, luscious, and high-flavored; full of sweet and harmonious sounds; abounding in beauty; gorgeous; abounding in humor; affording an abundant supply; strong; intense; marked by great fruitfulness; pleasantly full and mellow; containing large amounts of choice ingredients; of great worth or quality.

Wish me luck! Better yet, ..join me!

Sending Therese the biggest hug of support and gratitude ever! I’m sure she is doing AMAZING and living life to it’s fullest potential. Infinite LOVE from me is being sent her way! Xo!Thank you.
